Essential gear that protects your phone and more

Miami, Florida – April 22, 2015 – Alongside 30,000 other runners, Rebekah Gregory and her trainer, Artis Thompson III, hit the pavement for the 119th historic Boston Marathon. For Rebekah, this was no ordinary race day. Having survived the 2013 Boston bombing, she returned to Boylston Street as an amputee with confidence to cross the finish line.

With inspiration radiating from them, the pair crossed the rainy finish line together. Rebekah posted a photo of the moment she crossed the line while kneeling to the pavement on her Facebook page, “Rebekah Gregory’s New Day New Hope,” following the race with the quote "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7

Rebekah has been preparing for this moment with intense training and added Armpocket®, The Ultimate Armband® as an essential piece of training gear. Rebekah had this to say about her experience with Armpocket, “The Armpocket is unlike any other armband I've used in the past. For starters, it is a must-have for a race or pre-race activities. It is extremely comfortable which is important for everyday use. I've used it for various activities including running, and love that it stays in place and protects my phone even in rainy conditions. I would highly recommend the Armpocket to anyone who likes to carry their phone and other essentials while being active.”

Armpocket was developed by a team of active athletes, who realized they needed the ability to carry their cell phones, car keys, energy bars and gels while competing or working out. Like Rebekah, they needed a carrying case that could support their lifestyles of long pre-marathon training runs and daily gym visits. After trying every type of carrying device available at the time, they decided to create something different. In 2006, they launched the first Armpocket.

Congratulations to Rebekah on this major accomplishment! Proud to see Armpocket armbands crossing the Boston finish line with such inspirational runners.
