I’ve been a runner all my life, but originally just as cross training for other sports. Over the past five years, I’ve become more seriously focused on running and racing. I’m a member of a large local run club and we race and train together weekly, encouraging each other to become better runners and better people overall. They have seriously become like family to me.
I’m a PA at a Cancer Center, so running is my necessary outlet. I appreciate every day that I am physically able to get out the door and run, because I know not everyone is as lucky as me. I run for those who can’t! (and sometimes for ice cream)
In 2018 my biggest accomplishment was returning from a 7 month injury, starting at ground zero, coming back mile for mile, and completing my FIRST full marathon at Marine Corps Marathon in October!! In 2019 my goal is STRENGTH. Coming back stronger and going after my half marathon PR, and completing my second full marathon.
