My name is Crystal. I’m a 31-year-old Florida native. I am an artist and a professional baker. I was not an active child. I took more interest in creative hobbies and I was always picked last for kickball. A few months before my 30th birthday I found myself at 200 lbs (I’m only 5’2 and have been 120 or less most of my life). None of my clothes fit, I was lethargic, and hated seeing myself in mirrors or photos. I made a commitment, as my gift to me for my 30th birthday, to start taking better care of myself and thus began my fitness journey. I’ve lost 45 lbs in the last year and a half. I went from not being able to run a mile to successfully completing 2 half marathons with Team In Training and collecting an assortment of race medals. I’ll be honest, race medals and the before and after pics are my main motivators! I’m constantly searching for new and exciting ways to enhance my fitness journey and to unite my fitness community. I love switching up my work out routine, getting friends and family to work out with me, as well as trying new classes, activities, and competitions.
